Services

The publicity center provides distribution, graphic design, printing, web design, and other publicity services to Associated Student Programs, offices and clubs as well as any student from WWU, Whatcom Community College and NW Indian College.

Graphic Design

Award winning design is what our Graphic Design department is all about. With five talented artists on staff, we'll help make your event or organization look great. Choose from one-color to full-color design for your brochure, poster, stickers, letterhead, etc. We'll design just about anything for print production. And with our in-house print shop, the whole process can be done right here.

Distribution

Need to get your posters up, but don't have the time? Wondering how to reach off campus with your advertising? If you need your precious promotion posted on time, you'll want to talk to the PC. Many distribution services are free for AS clubs, offices and programs. Some cost a minimal charge. You need not be part of the AS to use our distribution service.

Printing

For ultimate graphic control nothing beats production in-house. The PC's production staff is top notch and a dandy way for our clients to get up close and personal with the promotions process, and for the artist who designed the work to make last-minute adjustments. We'll manage printing of one, two and three-color jobs on a variety of papers up to 11 x 17 in size. We also do professional quality Large Format Printing.

Large Format Printing from our HP5500

We do professional quality printing on a variety of media up to 42 inches wide and 10 feet long. We print on glossy and matte paper, as well as vinyl for outdoor and repeated use. We’ll enlarge your favorite personal photos to poster size, or print out your organizations banner in vibrant color. Grommets installed on vinyl banners are also available.

AS Review

The AS Review is the newspaper of the Associated Students. Not only do we "Review" the goings on of the AS, but preview as well. Published weekly (except in Summer), the Review may be found throughout campus. You'll also find the AS Review online.

Public Relations Coordinator

Does your AS office or program need more visibility? Would you like your event to get covered by the local newspapers, radio and TV stations? You're going to need a well-written press release to get attention from the busy media. The PC Public Relations Coordinator can help. We write press releases, Public Service Announcements, compile the weekly AS calendar, and put out an events list in the AS Flash section of the AS Review. We also are the liaison between WWU's Public Information Office and the Associated Students.

These services are free for AS programs, offices and AS recognized clubs, but for a small charge we'll make sure any student's event gets the heard as well. Fill out a Publicity Request form.

Web Development

The PC maintains the Associated Student website. If your AS program or office wants a new look for the web, this is the place to contact. Our first priority is to keep web pages for AS programs and offices (like this one!) up-to-date. Design of web pages for AS offices is on a first-come, first-served basis, so get in early to get out on the web! This service is available to AS programs only. For info on how to get a webpage for your club please make a request through ATUS.
